When you apply for a position with Moat Homes Ltd we will ask you to provide a variety of personal data, including:
• Personal data
your contact details, your CV, and general information about your skills, experience and education
• Special category personal data
information about criminal convictions and equality data (ethnicity, gender, etc.)
Your personal data and information about criminal convictions will be processed as part of the selection process.
Equality data is only used for statistical monitoring purposes to ensure our recruitment process is fair and non-discriminatory. Your application will not be affected if you decide not to provide us with your equality data.
For some positions, we may ask you a set of pre-application questions to check your suitability for the role. Answers to these questions will be automatically scored based on objective criteria. You will get immediate feedback on how well you meet the relevant criteria, so that you can decide whether or not to proceed with your application for that position
Pre-application question scores only form part of our overall assessment of a candidate’s suitability for a position – our recruiting managers will also look at all the other information provided by candidates when deciding which applications to progress.

Your personal data, and any applications you submit, will be retained in this applicant tracking system as long as your user account is in use.
You can edit your personal data at any time by logging into your user account. You can also delete your whole user account at any time – if you do so, any applications you have submitted will be deleted. You will receive an automated email once per year asking you verify your user account.
Any other instances of your personal data which are not held on this applicant tracking system, (such as records of short-listing, test scores, interview notes and associated correspondence), will be stored securely on Moat’s servers and processed in accordance with the law. Such records will be retained by Moat for up to six months from the date a vacancy is either filled or withdrawn, after which time they will be securely destroyed.
You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, the right to request that we correct or remove any inaccurate data and the right to withdraw your consent for us to hold and process your data at any time, by contacting recruitment@moat.co.uk or by calling 0300 323 0011.
