Who we are looking for:
We have an opportunity to join our Education Business Partnering team as a Senior Finance Coordinator. This is a newly created role reporting into the Education Finance Business Partner.
This role will cover the NAS Schools and NAS Central Services.
This is a home-based role and there is no requirement for regular travel, but there will be occasional opportunities to visit the services you work with, in order to familiarise yourself with them.
This is a full-time position for 35 hours per week. The salary for this position is £27,000 – 28,000
Key Responsibilities include:
Understanding and analysing the financial performance of schools, and communicating this to the operational management team, challenging variances to budget where appropriate.
Working with the School Business and Finance Managers to produce the annual budgets, as well as regular forecasting.
Ensuring accurate and timely accounting at a service level by regularly reviewing the accounts, posting month-end journals and correcting errors in source data and systems.
Producing costing models to support new and existing business, assisting with the annual fee uplift negotiation process.
As the role requires knowledge and understanding of accounting rules and standards, it is desirable that candidates hold an accounting qualification such as AAT, part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or other equivalent qualification. However, consideration will also be given to candidates who are qualified by experience in previous finance roles.
