Cleaner - Kingsley House

We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at Kingsley House

The National Autistic Society supports autistic adults to enable them to live the life they choose. We work to develop skills promoting their health and wellbeing, inclusion in the local community and greater independence.

We have positions available from 25 to 35 hours per week. The hourly rate for this position is £11.44

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To clean all areas of the service including kitchens, bathroom/toilets, corridors and communal areas as per cleaning schedule
  • To carry out kitchen/washing up etc. as required
  • To ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules are complied with on time and to the standards required.
  • Be aware of current cleaning and hygiene procedures. Maintain awareness of good practice.
  • Ensure supplies of cleaning materials and all equipment is maintained, cleaned and stored with any faults reported to the line manager
  • Report any breakages or damages and repairs that need to be carried out to your line manager
  • To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health and Safety and COSHH

We need you to be:

• Team player with good communication skills, friendly and helpful
• Flexible with a proactive approach to ‘get the job done’
• Able to manage time and tasks effectively
• Reliable and punctual
• Understanding of COSHH, infection control and work hazard
• Understanding of our procedures and policies
