Who we are looking for:  

We have 2 opportunities to join our Adult Services Finance Business Partnering team as a Finance Analyst. These 2 newly created roles will report into the Adult Services Finance Managers (North & South). 

The Finance Analyst will act as a key point of contact between the Adult Services operational teams and the Finance function. Key responsibilities include:  

  • Supporting the Finance Manager to analyse the financial performance of their region and communicating this to the operational management team. 
  • Ensuring accurate and timely accounting at a service level by regularly reviewing the accounts, posting month-end journals and correcting errors in source data and systems. 
  • Supporting the Finance Manager to produce the annual budgets for the regions, and regular forecasting. 
  • Producing costing models to support new business, changes to existing business and the annual fee uplift negotiation process. 

This is a home-based role and there is no requirement for regular travel, but there will be occasional opportunities to visit the services you work with, in order to familiarise yourself with them. One role will cover the South England and the other role will cover North England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

As the role requires knowledge and understanding of accounting rules and standards, it is desirable that candidates are studying towards an accounting qualification such as AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA, or have the desire to work towards study.
