Full Time Support Worker, New Barns Supported Living service

We are looking for support workers to work in our to work in our supported Living services in New Barns, Kenny Hill Suffolk. You’ll be working with autistic adults who live independently;  ensuring support and activities are meaningful to each individual

We support the residents to develop their skills and independence. Residents attend social clubs, enjoy cooking and arts and crafts at home, enjoy days out, listening to music and holidays

Our safe environment and fully trained experienced staff support the people to have a good quality of life, ensuring support and activities are meaningful to each individual.

Previous experience of working with people who exhibit challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential for this role. You will need to be enthusiastic and willing to help individuals with a variety of care and support needs including:       

  • Accessing the community, shopping, social outings and leisure activities
  • Domestic tasks like cooking and personal care
  • Please note driving an automatic car is an essential requirement for this role in order to enable some of the people we support access activities outside of Mildenhall. Please indicate on your application if you are able to drive and hold a full UK driving licence.

Hours of Work:  40 Hours per week worked over a 7 day rota which may include weekends and bank holidays and sleep ins.

We offer a competitive salary overtime paid at £11.94 per hour and a sleep in premium at £50 per night for staff. Driving is desirable if you do not live locally
