The Percy Hedley Foundation is one of the largest regional charities supporting people with a range of learning and physical needs. The Percy Hedley Foundation has three main sites providing specialist education, adult day services and residential care to our service users. Our sites are based in Forest Hall, Killingworth, and Jesmond.

The Role

We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Head of Fundraising to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading the Foundation’s fundraising activities to achieve an annual income exceeding £750k within three years. The role will encompass overseeing high-value donors, including Trusts and Foundations, Philanthropy, significant grant applications and legacies.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategy development and execution.
  • Achieving income growth through sales execution, including pipeline management, relationship building, account management and donor engagement.
  • Team Leadership and Coaching the Fundraising team.
  • Developing compelling bids and applications driving innovation through collaboration with operational colleagues.

About You

You will be highly experienced in setting and executing a Fundraising strategy within the charity sector using sales and account management skills. This pivotal position within the senior leadership team requires a strategic and innovative relationship manager who can inspire internal teams and external partners to help the Foundation achieve its vision.  You will need to be a highly driven and organised individual to ensure that team goals are met.
