We work towards excellence every day and our team members are committed to delivering the very best outcomes for the people we support. Our dynamic and flexible service is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, making it easier to live, learn and be part of a world adapting to change.
We are looking to appoint a support worker with a passion for helping people to join our team at Leybourne house. Leybourne is a small residential service for adults with learning and physical disabilities who require personal care and support.
At Leybourne our residents enjoy accessing Newcastle city nightlife, clubs, restaurants, theatres and shows. We also support people to go to both St James and the Stadium of Light. We support people to go on holidays abroad and weekends away, pamper weekends or thrill seeking weekends such as abseiling, canoeing and fishing.
We uphold the values of positive behaviour support, choice, control and autonomy for our young people to lead fulfilling lives. We promote wellbeing for our residents by accessing alternative therapies, hydro pools, rebound while also upholding religious beliefs by supporting people to go to the church of their choice.
It is a high energy and friendly service with an absolute focus on delivering the highest standard of person-centred care. As the newest member of our amazing team you will have a proactive approach and be an excellent communicator. A great sense of humour is an important asset as well as holding a good understanding of positive behaviour support.
To be successful you will have worked previously in a care setting and understand the importance routine and structure for our residents. You’ll also be committed to inspiring the people you support and helping make a positive difference to the lives of residents.
If you think you have what it takes to join our team we would love to hear from you.
