Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5/6)

Who We Are

Percy Hedley School specialises in working with two distinct groups of children aged between 3 and 19 - those with complex speech, language and communication needs and those with physical difficulties and associated communication problems. Specialist teachers and therapists provide an integrated approach to working with children who have significant communication needs and complex difficulties including cerebral palsy, ASC, dyspraxia, dyslexia and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).

The Role

We require a qualified and HPC registered Speech and Language Therapist Band 5 or Band 6) to provide input to a caseload of pupils with complex speech, language and communication needs. The focus is on a combination of individual and small group sessions delivered collaboratively and in an integrated way with the multi-disciplinary team. There are excellent opportunities for CPD and clinical supervision. Percy Hedley School is a vibrant service which offers a supportive and dynamic working environment.

The role is Term Time Only

Dysphagia training would be advantageous but not essential.
