Who We Are

Percy Hedley School provides all age (3-18) day and residential special education for children who have complex special educational needs including cerebral palsy, PMLD and those with communication difficulties and autistic spectrum disorder. The physiotherapy department works collaboratively with teaching, nursing, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy colleagues to meet the needs of the pupils in a holistic and integrated way.

The Role

We require a qualified and HPC registered physiotherapist to provide input to a caseload of students with complex physical, communication and learning difficulties. The focus is on a combination of individual and small group sessions delivered collaboratively and in an integrated way within a trans-disciplinary team. A physically active approach to the curriculum, including the recent implementation of the MOVE programme are strong features of the school, with access to alternative therapies such as Hydrotherapy and Rebound therapy. There are good opportunities for CPD and clinical supervision. Percy Hedley School is a well-established provision which offers a supportive and dynamic working environment.
