Support Worker

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker.

This is a full-time position based in Reading, where we have a residential home for 7 adults with complex physical, medical, and learning needs and a supported living service for 5 adults with learning disabilities. The people who live with us need full support in all aspects of their lives. The level of care we provide and the outcomes for those who live with us are outstanding.

The position will involve working across both of our services as needed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • All aspects of personal care, feeding, cooking, some cleaning, and key working.
  • In-house activities - baking, art/crafts, board games, sensory, reading etc.
  • Outdoor activities – Clubs, pubs, lunch out, keeping in touch with families, swimming, holidays, shopping, and planning.
  • Lone working may be required.
  • You will need to be able to work the following shifts - Early 7.30 am to 2.45 pm, late 2.15 pm to 9:30 pm. Shift times may change to suit the needs of the people we support.  -
  • This will involve working across our two services as needed.
