Positive Support Practitioner

Due to our ongoing growth here at Potens, we have a brand-new role available for a Positive Support Practitioner to join our North Wales team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Focus on ‘the person’ and provide person centered holistic assessments to create favorable environments; decreasing stress triggers and assisting ‘the person’ to develop and maintain a good quality of life.
  • Provide support and complex needs advice, guidance, support planning and training to the services where there are challenges to quality of life and service delivery.
  • Support the development of the PBS framework and work alongside PBS team members based nationally throughout the UK.
  • Write professional reports for services, management, and external professionals upon request.
  • Collaborate with the person receiving support, staff, family members and other professionals in designing a positive behaviour support plan that has been informed by assessments.
  • To facilitate deliver and attend person centred PBS workshops covering a range of PBS topics, and to undertake an annual accreditation of competency.

  • Able to work independently, multitask, organise, and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
  • Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
  • Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
  • Quick learner, hands on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities.
