This is a great opportunity to start a career in Software Testing. Principality’s QA Function is looking for passionate trainees with a high interest in technology, software quality and test automation to join their QA Engineering Academy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Begin an exciting and varied career in software testing at Principality Building Society. You’ll be given the time and space to learn and gain industry certification in the software testing industry.
  • Learn our ways of working with guidance and coaching from our experienced test function.
  • Learn about Software Delivery and gain experience in Agile and DevOps principals.
  • Learn test automation through our Automation Training programme
  • Learn about Non-Functional Test Techniques through our Non-Functional Training Programme. You’ll find out about test tools that are widely used in the industry for Compatibility testing, Load and Performance Testing. 
  • Solving business problems by delivering high quality software as a member of one of our delivery teams in our end-to-end change model.
  • Assisting solution architects and business analysts to finalize designs through team refinements.
  • Collaborating with the Developers using a test driven development approach to ensure your code is built with the highest quality and meeting their requirements by feeding into Unit test coverage.
  • Be a member of our collaborative QA Function, join in by sharing ideas and contribute to improvements.

Experience you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • No previous commercial/industry experience is required – entry level position.
  • Understanding of Software Development Principals (C# knowledge will be of advantage).
  • Basic understanding of Agile Software Delivery Principals.
  • A strong willingness to learn coding languages and technologies.
  • You should be eligible to be able to apply for UK DV Clearance.
