A great opportunity for a Software Developer to join our Business Change Department to work on the delivery of the Society’s strategic objectives. You will be able to learn and grow in this role, working across our technology stack (Mulesoft, OutSystems, .Net, SQL Server and Unisys AB Suite), gaining accreditations and certifications as you build your experience. As a member of one of our scrum teams you will be expected to collaborate with your colleagues to meet team goals and continuously look to improve ways of working.

The majority of our new development work is in leading edge low code platforms Mulesoft (integration) and Outsystems (UI/UX).  We will invest time in your training, development, and certification in these exciting, market leading technologies so that you can become a recognised expert.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Solving business problems by delivering software as a member of one of our delivery teams in our end-to-end change model.
  • Assisting solution architects and business analysts to finalize designs through team refinements.
  • Collaborating with test engineers using a test driven development approach to ensure your code is built with the highest quality and meets their requirements by creating unit tests.
  • Contributing to a development community of practice. Sharing knowledge, building our standards and ways of working across teams.
  • Providing support to production services, fixing any prioritized bugs identified.
  • Making a positive contribution to your team’s scrum ceremonies.
  • Following DevOps principles to deliver your changes.

Experience you’ll bring :

  • Software development experience in a variety of languages or technologies.
  • Version control systems – Git / TFSVC.
  • Operating within an agile framework – Scrum / Kanban / Lean.
