We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Commercial Underwriting to join our Commercial team for 12M FTC. This role is pivotal role in controlling the credit quality of the commercial lending book. This flows from the initial underwriting of new loans through to the subsequent management of the portfolio. The role demands that the loan portfolio should be considered in terms of mix/balance across sectors/types and the holder will be required to develop the appropriate policies/strategies alongside other senior figures within the division.
As our Head of Commercial Underwriting, you will also work with other senior managers in the division to implement the strategy of the commercial business and take decisions on the day to day running of the business. This will include taking a leading role in driving the development of the commercial team and building capability within the team. Taking the lead in setting credit policy and its subsequent application within the division.
