We have an exciting new vacancy for an IT Security Engineer to join our IT Security Team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security controls across endpoints, networks, and servers — helping to safeguard the business from cyber threats.

As an IT Security Engineer, you’ll ensure the effective operation of our security services to protect, detect, and respond to security incidents promptly. You will play a key role in defining security solutions and automating processes, working closely with wider IT teams to maintain a strong security posture.

You’ll be a champion of security culture, adopting best practices and advancing our tools, technologies, and processes to continuously enhance our cybersecurity capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Maintaining and managing security controls including Firewalls, Web Proxy and patching to keep our IT business secure.
  • Collaborating with IT Security Analysts to manage vulnerabilities and respond to incidents effectively.
  • Providing expert 3rd line security support to IT and business colleagues, ensuring support requests meet SLA targets.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and driving remediation plans to address security issues.
  • Acting as a security ambassador within IT, promoting best practices and awareness.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Environment (Windows server/desktop, Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience with firewall technologies such as CheckPoint, Cisco and VWware NSX.
  • Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools including CarbonBlack, zScaler and Microsoft.

Other Skills:

  • Excellent fault finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis abilities.
  • Skilled in technical report writing and production of management information (MI).
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
