Are you passionate about shaping how technology operates safely, securely and effectively?
We’re looking for an IT Governance Analyst to support the delivery of key governance activities across our Technology teams, helping ensure our policies, controls and documentation are well managed, easy to follow and consistently maintained.
In this role, you’ll help keep our technology governance framework organised, practical and up to date. You’ll support policy management, control documentation, assurance evidence, governance reporting and document management across SharePoint, working with colleagues across Technology, Risk and Internal Audit to make sure expectations are clear and day-to-day activity is properly recorded.
🔧What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the maintenance and review of Technology policies, standards and guidance so they remain clear, relevant and easy to apply
- Maintaining control documentation and helping ensure controls are clearly described, proportionate and aligned to regulatory and organisational expectations
- Helping coordinate Technology responses to requests from Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit
- Working with Technology teams to help them understand governance expectations and maintain the right supporting documentation
- Supporting assurance activity by gathering evidence, tracking actions and helping improve traceability across policies, controls and supporting records
- Identifying opportunities to make governance and assurance processes simpler, clearer and less reliant on manual effort
- Supporting teams to understand policy intent and apply it in their day-to-day work
- Contributing to wider policy and governance activity by keeping SharePoint document libraries, registers and supporting materials well organised and up to date
- Supporting good document management practices, including version control, ownership, review dates and clear folder or library structures within SharePoint
- Preparing clear updates and information for governance forums, with support from senior colleagues where needed
✅What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone organised, practical and detail-focused, with an interest in how good governance supports safe and effective technology delivery.
You’ll bring:
- An understanding of governance, risk, controls or assurance in a regulated environment, ideally within financial services or technology
- Experience supporting control frameworks, policy management or assurance processes
- The ability to work with Technology subject matter experts to shape clear, practical policies and standards that teams can confidently use
- Experience gathering evidence, maintaining records and supporting audit or assurance activity
- Good stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working with Technology, Risk and Audit colleagues
- A collaborative mindset and experience working closely with engineering, infrastructure or security teams
- Clear and concise communication skills, able to translate complex requirements into actionable guidance
- A proactive, pragmatic approach with a focus on helping teams work within clear and effective governance arrangements
💻Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in technology policy, controls or assurance within a regulated environment (financial services preferred)
- Ability to interpret requirements and translate them into practical guidance, documentation or supporting records
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly SharePoint, Excel and Word, with confidence maintaining document libraries, registers, trackers and governance records
- Experience engaging with Risk and Internal Audit functions
- Relevant degree, professional qualification, or equivalent experience
- ITIL Foundation (desirable)
