Our IT Services function are hiring an IT Platforms & Engineering Manager that will report directly into our Head of IT. This role forms part of the IT Leadership team, responsible for the support and maintenance of our Enterprise IT Platforms.

The IT Platforms & Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the integration of development and operations teams to streamline and automate processes, ensuring frequent and smooth software releases. They lead teams in implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation tools to improve the software development lifecycle. The role also involves managing team performance, mentoring engineers, and ensuring system health and availability. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the team responsible for platform delivery, environment management, and NFT support. Mentor and coach team members.
  • Strategic Direction: Improve tools and processes for better software delivery. Identify and fix inefficiencies.
  • Release Management: Ensure smooth and frequent software releases. Implement DevOps strategies like CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to adopt key platform tools and services. Facilitate communication between development and operations teams.
  • Infrastructure and Budget Management: Manage budget for products and services. Maintain cloud infrastructure for reliability and performance.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues to ensure system health. Monitor performance and fix bottlenecks.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure infrastructure and applications are secure and compliant. Continuously improve DevOps processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Cloud Computing Knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms and services.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Knowledge: Proficiency with IaC tools and methodologies.
  • NFT Knowledge: Familiarity with NFT categories and their functions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Effective identification and resolution of issues.
  • Process Improvement Skills: Capability to identify and implement process

Previous experience:

  • Experience in leading technology teams.
  • Software Delivery Lifecycle working with the concepts of DevOps implementations.
  • Experience of technologies, infrastructure and tooling in support of DevOps principles.
