We’re excited to offer a fantastic internal opportunity to join the Learning & Performance Team on a 5-month secondment as a Learning Consultant.

This role will play a key part in the Induction of new colleagues and shaping of learning initiatives across the society. You'll work closely with the L&P team and across the People Directorate to identify and support learning needs, as well as taking ownership of welcoming new colleagues into PBS. This is a hands-on, varied role offering a chance to get involved in everything from consultation and design through to delivery and evaluation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Facilitating the current induction, being a positive welcoming voice and the face of PBS for new starters. Whilst working with our digital team to bring some of the offering and record keeping into the digital space.
• Being a key part of analysing trends and carrying out learning needs analyses, making recommendations and implementing solutions.
• Designing and delivering impactful learning solutions that drive measurable improvements
• Building relationships with SMEs in order to support the sharing of knowledge and skills across the society.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of innovative learning practices.
• Being a point of contact for, and handling learning based questions.
• Coaching and developing colleagues.

What we’re looking for:

Skills & Experience:

• Experience of contributing to the design and/or delivery of learning solutions, or demonstrable transferable experience with a strong desire to develop in this area
• An analytical mind to understand the learning problems within a wider context.

• Confident using Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences?.
• A proactive problem-solver with a willingness to get hands-on with technical tasks
• Good stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
