Are you an experienced communications professional who can turn complex information into clear, purposeful communications that engage colleagues and support business priorities?

We’re looking for an Internal Communications Manager to lead and deliver effective communications across Principality. You’ll work with stakeholders across the business, providing trusted communications advice and developing targeted strategies and campaigns that support our priorities and bring Principality 2.0 to life for colleagues.

What you’ll be doing

This is a varied role where you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working collaboratively with colleagues and senior stakeholders across the organisation.

You’ll:

  • Lead internal communications for key projects, business change and colleague engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver communication campaigns from planning through to evaluation, setting clear objectives, audiences, messages, channels and measures of success.
  • Work with the Senior Internal Communications Manager to maintain a clear internal communications plan and consistent organisational narrative.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including Executive and Senior Leadership colleagues, providing clear communications advice and solutions.
  • Turn complex information into clear, relevant and accessible content across a range of internal channels.
  • Take ownership of communications activity and assets, maintaining quality and delivering against agreed priorities.
  • Use data, insight and feedback to assess performance, inform decisions and improve communications effectiveness.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Communications and External Affairs to ensure activity supports wider strategic communications priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and introduce fresh approaches that strengthen colleague engagement.
  • Champion Principality’s brand, tone of voice and communications standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working effectively with senior and Executive stakeholders.
  • The ability to simplify complex information and communicate it clearly and confidently.
  • A strong understanding of audience needs and how to develop communications that achieve their intended purpose.
  • The ability to generate ideas and develop effective approaches to colleague communications.
  • An evidence-led approach, using data and insight to inform decisions and measure results.
  • The confidence to take ownership of communications activity while working collaboratively with others.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt when needed.
  • Experience managing internal communications projects, campaigns and change initiatives.
  • Experience using a variety of channels and formats to communicate with different audiences.
  • An interest in emerging communications practices and identifying opportunities to improve how we work.

Experience and Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll have experience working in a varied, fast-paced communications environment and a track record of delivering innovative communications within a large organisation.

Experience creating, producing or editing multimedia content, such as video and podcasts, would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

A professional communications or marketing qualification at degree level, or equivalent, is desirable.

Interested?

If you’re looking for an opportunity to take ownership, influence key priorities and deliver communications that make an impact, we’d like to hear from you.
