The Business Centre, situated at the entrance to our Meeting and Events space, provides a warm welcome to guests attending events at The Grove.  The team are looking for a dedicated and experienced Receptionist to join the team to provide a high level of administrative support.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:                

To prepare all menus, place cards, table plans, signage and buffet labels for all events, ensuring attention to detail is maintained and stationery is prepared in a timely manner.

To be trained in Opera and be able to check in and check out guests to the required company standard, rooming our guests when required.

To prepare welcome packs for all organisers, ensuring these are given out on arrival and a warm welcome given.

To ensure the front and back areas of business centre are kept tidy and well organised at all times.

To take ownership of our two PC City rooms and hospitality desk, ensuring always ready for guest usage and clean and tidy. To also ensure The Amber entrance is always clean and tidy and take ownership for this area.

To assist guests as and when required, welcoming guests into the area and ensuring guest satisfaction. To book taxis, direct guests to other parts of hotel and assist in any way required in order for us to give the highest level of hospitality.

To be responsible for the ordering of any stationery required at business centre.

To take coats for guests attending events, ensure these are stored correctly and safely with the correct labels.

To assist the front office team in group check outs and check ins.

To adhere to company policy and procedures at all times.  To abide by confidentiality of all information within the Meetings and Events team.

To always act as an ambassador for the Hotel both on and off duty

To be an honest and active participant of the Meetings and Events operations team; attend and contribute to relevant meetings as required.

Essential
To be personable and exhibit good customer relations

  • Verbal / written communication to a good educational level
  • Well groomed
  • PC skills including all Microsoft applications
  • Team player
  • Ability to cope under pressure from internal / external customers
  • Confident and self-motivated
