The Glasshouse, well-known home of live theatre cooking and luxury buffet style has temporarily been adapted to an à la carte offering in order to comply with the current government guidelines. Our chefs are still guest facing and on show, but keeping to social distancing rules right now. When we are allowed, we will be reopening our cooking stations and bringing back the buffet style experience for our diners.
We pride ourselves on nothing but the finest seafood, fresh pasta made daily and use seasonal ingredients sourced from Jemima’s Kitchen Garden, right here on our estate. We offer the best prime cuts of meat from the grill, and on a Sunday it’s all about the roast
In preparation for re-opening our unique operation, the brigade needs a Junior Sous Chef to join the team who cook for our guests 7 days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’re inspired by chefs who keep up with the latest food trends and can bring their own ideas to the kitchen and contribute to our regularly changing menus.
We’re in search of passion, experience and knowledge of a wide range of culinary techniques. In return we can offer you an opportunity to grow and develop your talent, creativity, skill and passion as a chef whilst catering for high volumes.
It is a fast paced, with up to 200 covers in a service so you need to be hard working, driven and dynamic. With training on all sections, you will be ready to jump in and help where required. The flexibility to work a variety of shifts is essential, as is the experience of taking charge and running a small team.
Part of your role will be to maintain strict health, safety and food hygiene protocols whilst supporting the Sous Chefs and Head Chef with the day to day and monthly training in this area, as well as in all other aspects of the kitchen operation.
The role will start with training prior to us being able to welcome guests back to dine with us.
First interviews will be held via Zoom and if successful, followed by a trial on-site with our Head Chef, adhering to and respecting all Covid-19 guidelines.
