Our Maintenance team, responsible for ensuring that the whole property is in tip-top condition, are looking for a Manager to direct and supervise the maintenance and repair of the Hotel building, grounds, contents & staff houses and ensure safe and efficient and presentable operation of all equipment.                     .  

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager who will work 40 hours per week; shifts will vary depending on business requirements, occasionally you may have to do early starts or night shifts to gain access to a particular part of the hotel.




JOB TITLE:                  Maintenance Manager


REPORTING TO:      Rooms Division Manager


JOB PURPOSE:          To direct and supervise the maintenance and repair of the Hotel building, grounds, contents & staff houses and ensure safe and efficient and presentable operation of all equipment.






  1. Organise and manage the Maintenance department ensuring effective work and productivity from each individual. Preparing an annual and five year improvement / maintenance budget / plan. 
  2. To develop an efficient and cost effective supplier and contractor base.
  3. Draw up specifications and obtain quotations for all work involving outside contractors/consultants. Monitor progress to ensure work is completed on time and ensure budgets are controlled and monitored. 
  4. Offer an advisory/training programme to all Hotel HODs on all relevant policies & procedures.
  5. Liaise with statutory bodies such as Fire Brigade to ensure that all requirements are complied with and arrange inspections at the required frequencies.
  6. To ensure that all relevant records are maintained and kept up to date as required
  7. To maintain a spares inventory and operate a replacement system.
  8. To draw up an estate wide buildings inventory and condition survey and ensure that this is maintained accurately.




  • Previous Hotel experience
  • Good knowledge of mechanical/plant and electrical equipment
