WHAT YOU DO MATTERS…

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Merchandiser to join the E-Commerce Team to focus on Kidswear. This is an expanding area of our business, with exciting opportunities for an individual who is keen to develop in a fashion led environment. 

You will make a vital contribution to the merchandising function from day one in maximizing the ecommerce sales and maintaining customer service levels 

Key duties will include: 

  • To support the Merchandiser, managing sales forecasting for all website product (minimizing returns )
  • Manage the allocation team, ensuring efficient replenishment to meet sales targets and future demand
  • Review the product content for the homepage, landing pages and emails by making recommendations to promoting best sellers in prime positions on the websites
  • Track overstocks, proposing solutions to move stock as quickly as possible, either back into retail or wholesale.
  • Produce detailed sales analysis as required, analyzing future growth, fashion potential and capitalize on re-buying opportunities including SWOTS
  • Produce weekly, monthly and seasonal analysis of home shopping performance, communicating this to the relevant teams
  • Ensure promo activity is launched on time, and measured efficiently
  • Assist with the management of the promotional engine.
  • Provide detailed analysis on any promo events.
  • Liaise and communicate with Core Merchandising and Buying teams to ensure key products are available for web
  • Analyse sales potentials for web exclusives and any missed opportunities       
  • Managing the delivery schedule and work closely with the Product Co-Ordinator to ensure ranges are launched
  • Monitoring stock levels to ensure optimum availability of stock across all sizes
  • Manage weekly replenishment of stock taking in consideration parameters and building stock when appropriate
  • Work cross functionally with several departments, ensuring a joined up approach

WE KNOW WHAT WE’RE DOING… and we know exactly what experience we’re looking for!

For this role, you will have:         

  • Currently operating as an Assistant Merchandiser with previous experience at allocation level
  • Previous experience of working within the E-Commerce area would be advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to analyse numerical data, quickly identify issues and recommend solutions
  • Strong trading skills with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
  • Good knowledge and use of excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good level of mathematical skills required
  • Previous experience of working with web based analytics systems would be advantageous
