WHAT YOU DO MATTERS…

The Junior Email Developer executes the business as usual (BAU) campaigns which form a critical part of the River Island CRM strategy as outlined by the CRM Manager. With an ever increasing demand for bespoke, trade driving campaigns, the Junior Email Developer will utilise content management aspects of the CRM Solution (currently Oracle Responsys) to quickly build targeted campaigns to our key audience groups, which drive traffic and trade through the River Island website. With a keen eye for detail and a focus on efficiency, you'll bring a technical understanding of email in a desktop and mobile context.

You will be responsible for:

  • Using template/workflow aspects of the CRM solution, you will assemble campaigns, which include AB and multivariate tests, using assets provided from design and marketing teams. You will ensure personalisation and link tracking are accurately implemented.
  • Manage proofing, amendments and changes to campaigns in a deadline driven, fast paced environment. Ensure quality checklists are implemented prior to send. Monitor campaign deployment for deliverability issues, flagging issues to Marketing Automation Manager and Senior CRM Executive.
  • Support the CRM Developer with tasks associated with the maintenance of templates within the CRM solution and the creation of HTML content for new triggers that support the CRM strategy.
  • Stay abreast in the latest developments in HTML Email campaigns and feed these recommendations into the broader CRM team.

Experience        

You will have a degree level qualification in a marketing or technology related discipline and advanced levels of computer literacy in Microsoft Office packages. A working knowledge of HTML and cross-device rendering is essential. You will have worked with email marketing or CMS or workflow tools in the past.

Personal Attributes       

You will have an excellent attention to detail which you apply to both the work you produce and the way that you work. Interpersonal communication skills will be good, as will your ability to plan, organise and prioritise. You will be helpful, stay calm under pressure and be able to use your own initiative to solve problems and find improvements to ways of working.
