We have an exciting opportunity for a Paid Social Exec to join our growing digital marketing team! Sitting within the performance marketing team, you will help to facilitate the management of our online advertising campaigns across social media channels.

The role will focus on managing campaigns across Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest, but you’ll also get the chance to work on other paid media channels such as search, display and video.

This is a new role that offers great potential for growth and is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to move into a fast paced, exciting client side role.

Key responsibilities

  • Campaign activation, management and optimisation of paid social campaigns
  • Report, track and measure all activity in line with performance based KPIs and benchmarks
  • Provide regular audits, analysis and optimisations to improve campaign performance
  • Manage an ongoing ‘test and learn’ optimisation programme to maximise performance
  • Develop close relationships with media partners and external agencies
  • Work closely with different stakeholders across the business (social media, marketing, merchandising) to ensure campaigns are aligned with content and product strategy
  • Work alongside creative and design teams to create original social assets e.g. video/gifs/images/banners
  • Assist the paid media team with activation and optimisation of campaigns across other channels such as search, display and video
  • Ensure up to date with industry trends, competitor activity and latest innovations and demonstrate how these can be incorporated into the River Island strategy
  • Explore new advertising opportunities on new and emerging social channels

Suitable candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of paid/biddable channels and management platforms
  • Agency or in-house experience working on paid social campaigns
  • Experience working on retail brands, preferably within the faction sector
  • Creative thinker with an understanding of digital marketing
  • Excellent creative and copywriting skills
  • Good time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Highly numerate with a strong attention to detail and ability to analyse large sets of complex data
  • Proactive team player able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Affinity and passion for fashion
  • A willingness and hunger to learn and develop career further
