WHAT YOU DO MATTERS…

The Email Developer is the point person for the implementation of the River Island Marketing Automation activities in UK and international territories. This role is responsible for maximising the utilisation of the CRM Platform (currently Oracle Responsys), and proactively increasing our capacity to deliver innovative, personalised multi-channel marketing programmes that build out customer experiences that delight customers and increase our profitability. While the CRM platform will be the core area of focus for this role, exposure into other marketing systems including web behaviour and single customer views will be required.

In this role you will:       

  • Be responsible for the implementation of multi-channel and international marketing programmes, customer facing web applications and mobile push programmes which are outlined in the CRM strategy
  • Configure the CRM Platform to enable the creation of self-service campaigns, which the CRM Campaign Assistant will deliver through to execution
  • Actively engage in broader IT / marketing / ecommerce initiatives within River Island which have a data component, ensuring the CRM platform and associated data feeds are revised when necessary and new capabilities are introduced to the broader marketing team
  • Be responsible for the architecture of the CRM platform, ensuring necessary maintenance is undertaken and flag projects or technical modifications which are required to ensure the platform is efficient and improving
  • Stay abreast of improvements with the various platform providers and within the marketing automation industry, ensuring new technology solutions are considered and actively reviewing River Island's use of the CRM platform to maximise utilisation
  • Be the lead interface between marketing and IT and product, when it comes to data aspects of marketing solutions, including customer, behavioural and product data types. You will maintain a high level view of all integrations, and work closely with channel managers who will own detailed requirements and drive projects forward
  • Use relevant tools to manage operational issues such as deliverability, list cleaning, de-duping and control groups, to ensure measurement and trade driving is robust and reliable

WE KNOW WHAT WE’RE DOING… and we know exactly what experience we’re looking for!

Experience     

  • You will have good experience with SQL in an e-commerce context
  • You will be confident in HTML coding and cross-device email rendering
  • You will have experience with our CRM Platform or an equivalent ESP/CRM solution and ideally have worked with API implementations using SOAP or Rest.
