E-Commerce Merchandiser, 9 Month Contract

Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you will be working division within the Ecommerce team. You will be liaising closely with both core B&M, Marketing and Online Content Teams to plan ranges, manage sales and forecast stock. Key responsibilities will also involve analysing new product trends, planning new product launches and promotions, completing regular sales and stock analysis and ad hoc reporting.


Key duties will include:-

  • Planning and developing a strategy
  • to deliver a Sales and profit target, partnering with Buying to lead your division and ensure KPIs are achieved
  • Identify and develop in-season and long term trading opportunities and strategies
  • Lead the merchandising team and own self-development to support current and future business growth
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, sales and profit targets
  • Monitor performance against plan, taking appropriate action to maximise sales and profit and manage stockholding ensuring an efficient and profitable stock turn
  • Managing an OTB target and range planning options and any web only opportunity
  • Maintaining up to date sales information across WSSIs, company trading sheets and departmental summaries
  • Managing flow line analysis for key lines
  • Managing promotional and markdown activity in line with departmental and company events
  • Identify new business opportunities to grow sales and profitability
  • Communicate trading issues and forecasts with proposed actions to Ecommerce Merchandising Manager
  • Evaluate market and customer information together with historical data and forward trends to develop the department's phased plans

  • Currently operating as a Junior Merchandiser or Merchandiser from a fashion background (either core or online merchandising)
  • Experience or knowledge of Ecommerce
  • Experience of delivering results with tight budgets and deadlines
  • Collect actionable insights from sales, analytics & KPIs
  • Effective communication skills across all business levels and ability to build strong relationships across multiple teams
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrates resilience, and works well under pressure
  • Proven track record of coaching and developing others
