Clothing Supply Chain Analyst

In a nutshell


To flow product from international and domestic suppliers to UK Depots in the most efficient and cost effective manner, prioritising to hit launches, promotions and minimising out of stocks. With a strong emphasis on data excellence working alongside key business areas, to monitor stock levels and optimise stock movement.


What I need to do


• Influence Trading Teams to create and maintain best practice and drive data integrity excellence
• Act as liaison between Trading Teams, the warehouses and the wider logistics teams
• Optimise and prioritise inbound stock flow according to business needs - get the right product to the right place at the right time
• Manage inbound stock flow according to warehouse capacities and take proactive action where stock volume exceeds capacity
• Produce data for the Trading Teams to aid them with decision making. Continually review and improve quality of data produced
• Close management of stock required for events to ensure stock is available to drive sales
• Work closely with the warehouse to help optimise operations and reduce occasions where inbound productivity might be affected
• Work with the Imports Team to improve container loading in overseas origins to drive cost savings
• Day to Day management of 3rd Party Logistics Providers
• Support the business with fast responses to queries and providing resolutions to any problem that may occur
• Maintain and provide accurate reports and ensure that all relevant data is recorded in a timely manner
• Production of inbound forecasts for warehouses and 3rd Party Logistics Providers
• Identify, develop and deliver continuous improvement projects to improve ways of working both within the team and cross functionally
• Monitor and drive improvements in compliance, both externally with suppliers and service providers and internally with trading teams and other internal departments

• Warehouses maintain an operable level of occupancy
• Timely, data driven decisions made in conjunction with the relevant Trading team members
• Current and future capacity issues are identified and action taken
• Events are launched successfully with no stock delays
• Warehouse operations are optimised where possible and fast action is taken to remedy issues
• Container utilisation is at or above target
• Regular liaison with all 3rd Party providers, provision of data for planning and forecasting and issues resolved quickly
• All data records are up to date and correct

• Experience working with supply chains
• Appreciation of merchandising function
