In a nutshell

Sainsbury’s is a data rich business – with information collected from consumers, suppliers and colleagues.  We believe that there is huge value in these data in driving value for our customers and, in turn, value for our shareholders.

To-date, there has been some great work done which has started to realise some of this value, but there is significantly more opportunity bought about by developing the right information solutions to help solve often complex business challenges.

There are a lot of moving parts and all of this takes a great deal of organisation This role will, in a nutshell, provide team administrative support the DACE leadership enabling smooth running of the day to day activities and the transition to a new target operating model. It will also support with the set up and day to day running of the Analytics community across Sainsbury’s and with administrating communication channels (eg. a Portal) as required.

What I need to do

You will need to cover a number of key areas: 

  • Manage the diaries of the DACE leadership teams to ensure their time is appropriately prioritised and managed
  • Undertake standard administration tasks such as scanning, copying and filing documents.
  • Act as a gatekeeper internally and externally to DACE LT diaries
  • Organise meetings, workshops, team events and forums with third parties
  • Ensure team members have access to appropriate internal systems and toolsets to do their jobs
  • Assist with the on-boarding of new team members to ensure that they feel a part of the team and can be productive from day one
  • Coordinate holiday across the team
  • Be a pro-active member of the community that makes Sainsbury’s and the DACE team a great place to work
  • Coordinate and organise travel arrangements and VISA’s for the DACE LT
    Support with set up and day to day running of the Analytics community across Sainsbury’s, for example organising external speakers, lunch and learn sessions, mentoring
  • Support for administration of communication channels as required 

How I will succeed

  • Develop a great relationship with the DACE LT and team members
  • Work closely and build strong links with the PA to the CDO and the wider PA community
  • Use your existing or develop your understanding of Sainsbury’s administration, travel, provisioning and HR systems and processes
  • Effective workload, prioritisation and time management

  • Ensure appropriate subject matters and materials are kept confidential
  • Create order
  • Be pro-active
  • Be discrete as appropriate

What I need to know

  • How to do effective time and dairy management
  • Microsoft toolset, especially outlook, word and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of Sainsburys systems and processes would be a benefit
  • Microsoft Office 365 a bonus
  • How to organise events and workshops
  • How to manage confidential and sensitive information – when to share and when not to
