At Lindisfarne we provide 24-hour care and support people with physical disabilities. Our aim is to make sure this is not just a place to live but is a home, and the people living here are encouraged and enabled to make their own choices and decisions in as many aspects of their lives as they can and wish to. 

The charity is seeking to recruit Support Workers to assist our existing team in providing 24-hour care and support to adults with learning and physical disabilities.  The role of the Support Worker is to enable each person using the service to lead a fulfilling and independent life according to individual needs and choices.  

 Essential Criteria:  

  • An ability to demonstrate the core values of the Charity 
  • NVQ2 in care (or willingness to attain) 
  • Ability to respond to guidance and direction 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team 
  • Able to provide personal care 
  • Able to work flexible hours and sleep-ins 
  • Participate where necessary in social activities, outings/holidays with people using the service 
  • Maintain confidentiality, honesty, and reliability
  • Non-discriminatory and respect for cultural and religious heritage of all people
