Senior Maintenance Officer - Enfield
Office Base: Enfield
Covering the areas of Enfield, Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield
Hours – 37.5 hours per week
Salary - £33,500.00 per year
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Officer to join the Intensive Housing Management Team. The team provide comprehensive services to support our customers to thrive and live in their own homes, or as part of our shared supported living schemes.
The Senior Maintenance Officer role is a multi-functional role to manage the delivery of the Housing and Homes Property Operations functions for the Intensive Housing Management Service.
You will be responsible in providing day-to-day supervision of Maintenance Officers to ensure the delivery of good quality and timely services, whilst also working alongside the team to carry out repairs and maintenance responsibilities and functions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day work schedules, ensuring works are assessed, prioritised and scheduled within defined / set timescales.
- Undertake quality inspections to ensure works are completed to a high standard.
- Line manage the maintenance officers and conduct their supervisions and appraisals.
- Work alongside the Intensive Housing Management Team to deliver a high quality service and ensure that the needs of customers are met.
- Ensure all maintenance records are accurately maintained.
- Ensure void works for Landlords are recorded and reported and works completed in a timely manner.
- Utilise relevant IT packages and software.
Essential Criteria:
- An ability to demonstrate the core values of the Charity
- Previous experience of managing/supervising maintenance operatives (or similar)
- Willing to undertake qualification in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
- Proven experience in a general maintenance role
- Painting and Decorating skills, carpentry and minor plumbing work skills
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues in housing
- Driving Licence (no endorsements within the last three years)
- Ability to work with vulnerable clients
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team and on own
- Work on own initiative
- Work to set deadlines
