Receptionist (Oaklea Convent, Sunderland)

We are excited to be recruiting for a suitably experienced Receptionist to join the friendly team at Oaklea Convent, which is home to the Sisters of Mercy and managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services.  We welcome all who wish to apply to work with us!

You will be required to carry out a full range of administrative and receptionist duties to support the smooth running of the service.

We pride ourselves on supporting the people who use our services in such a way to enable them to live as independently and dignified a life as possible in their home, so it is essential that a quality driven and holistic service is maintained at all times.

Shift pattern:

Monday and Tuesday 08:00 – 17:30

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 12:00 - 17:30

  • Good word processing skills
  • Proven experience in an office environment
  • Ability to prepare and take minutes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Numerate
  • Accurate recording skills

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people with support / care needs
