Join us as our new Clinical Nurse Deputy Manager, at our care home with nursing, St Pauls which is located in Selly Park Birmingham. 

In this role you will work closely with the Home Managers to ensure that the home runs effectively efficiently and safely, and you will manage a team of dedicated nurses and colleagues to drive quality and maintain high standards of care. 

We will support you to develop your clinical skills and offer career development, so you can enjoy a long and rewarding nursing career with us, this includes training, mentorship and induction, PDP and supervsions. 

St Pauls supports up to 24 sisters of the order of St Paul the Apostle and other residents from the local community, women only and is managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services.  There are 3 floors with 8 beds each floor and a mixture of nursing and residential people. 

In this role you will work 15 hours as deputy manager and the remaining hours supporting the nurse functions in the home on the floors, leading on care planning, medication management, safeguarding, health and safety and infection control. 

We will expect you to participate in Nurse PDPs and clinical supervisions.  Current up to date knowledge of nursing practice is essential.

Do you have:

  • Registered Nurse (1st Level) qualification
  • A recognised management qualification (NVQ4), or willing to attain
  • Leadership qualities – energetic, passionate about your work
  • The ability to change cultures and practices
  • Will power and emotional resilience - determined
  • Experience of managing in a registered service
  • Good use of Information Technology
  • Supervisory/management experience of a large staff team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop the service and staff
  • Ability to motivate staff and others
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with a team
