Housekeeper
10 hours per week : Salary - £12.05 per hour

We are excited to be recruiting for a Housekeeper to join the friendly team at Oaklea Convent, Sunderland, which is home to the Sisters of Mercy and managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services. We welcome all who wish to apply to work with us!
We pride ourselves on supporting the people who use our services in such a way to enable them to live as independently and dignified a life as possible in their home, so it is essential that a quality driven and holistic service is maintained at all times.
The successful applicant will provide an efficient housekeeping provision as set out in the job description, carrying out necessary tasks and following appropriate cleaning regimes ensuring the service is in a clean and tidy state at all times whilst actively supporting the vision, philosophies and values of the Charity and that of the Sisters of Mercy.
Essential Criteria:
- An ability to demonstrate the core values of the Sisters of Mercy and the Charity
- Able to work as part of a team and using own initiative
- Ability to respond to guidance and direction
- Flexibility
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety / COSHH / Infection Control
- Manual Handling certificate
- Emergency First Aid certificate
- Fire Awareness certificate
- Manual Handling
