Cook - Oxford (21 hours per week)

The Salesian Sisters are a registered charity with an international congregation and are recruiting for a Cook to join the friendly team at Elmthorpe Convent.  

The role will be offered to work 21 hours per week on a permanent contract.

The convent in Cowley, Oxford is home to a small number of elderly Sisters and is managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services and we welcome all who wish to apply for this role.

Please note that we are currently unable to sponsor overseas applicants and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Essential Criteria: 

• Ability to respond to guidance and direction
• Experience of cooking for groups of people
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to attain)
• Able to work flexible hours
• Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability
• Accessible, approachable and comfortable with vulnerable people
• Non-discriminatory and respect for cultural and religious heritage of all people
