We are excited to be recruiting for a Care Assistant (24 hours per week) to join our friendly team at Oaklea Convent, Sunderland, which is home to the Sisters of Mercy and managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services. We welcome all who wish to apply to work with us!

Essential Criteria:

  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to provide personal care
  • Good communication skills
  • Participate where necessary in social activities, outings/holidays with people using the service
  • Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability
  • Non-discriminatory and respect for cultural and religious heritage of all people
  • Able to work flexible hours over a 24/7 period
