Team Leader - Homelessness and Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking Services
Six-months fixed term contract, subject to regular reviews with a possibility of extending or permanent.
37.5 hours per week - £31,883.00 per year
We are looking to recruit a Team Leader on a fixed term basis to assist in the effective management, administration and co-ordination of the service.
Are you an experienced Leader, with a background working in Health and Social Care sector with vulnerable adults. Do you have a strong background in Quality, Audits, Governance and team management, and speak a second language? Then we would like to hear from you!
Our service in Birmingham specialises in providing accommodation and support services to survivors of Modern day slavery & trafficking. Our clients come from varied nationalities and support needs and service is driven to provide wide remit of services to them - Legal and Asylum representation, Mental Health, Trauma induced support, Drugs & Alcohol, Ex-offending, Education & Employability and support the clients to re-integrate back in the community.
To apply you will need to be computer literate, empathetic, and can think on your feet. This is a hands on role and involves supporting the Service Manager with the daily operation of the service. Applicants will need to be possess strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Level 3 or above in health and social care or equivalent or willing to gain the qualification.
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults
- Knowledge of modern Day Slavery & Trafficking working standards preferred.
- Experience in managing/supporting staff teams
- Proven capability in managing a service which can provide person-centred support and carry out qualitative Risk Assessments
- Inclination/ Experience with basic Ledgers & Finance
- Knowledge of or willing to learn various aspects of a fast-paced work environment and contract.
- Preferably able to speak a second language
