We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our dedicated team in Birmingham, supporting vulnerable adults who are survivors of Modern day slavery, trafficking and/or homelessness. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of quality, compliance, and governance, and who is confident managing day-to-day operations within a dynamic Operational service.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will work closely with the Service Manager and National Lead to oversee the daily running of the service, supporting a diverse team and ensuring we maintain the highest standards of Support and compliance. This is a hands-on role that requires resilience, empathy, and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the effective leadership of a staff team delivering person-centred support
- Assist with operational planning, quality audits, and day-to-day compliance
- Undertake risk assessments and help ensure governance standards are met, while delivering successful KPIs and SLAs of the home office contract,
- Promote a culture of learning, safety, and accountability
- Liaise with external agencies and support service users in their journey to independence
- Contribute to basic financial monitoring and service reporting
- Oversee H&S and Infection Control of safehouses and provide safe environment to SUs and staff.
Essential Criteria
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- Proven experience supporting or managing teams in a care/support setting
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and person-centred support
- Awareness of Modern Slavery & Trafficking standards (training can be provided)
- Comfortable working with systems and ledgers (basic finance)
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced contract-led environment
- Fluent in a second language
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Confident using IT systems for reporting and communication
