PCV Event Driver
We are looking for an additional Event Driver to join our small friendly team. This is an interesting role which provides great variety; you will be driving to and from different parts of the county and country to provide transport services as well as transporting workers to and from the HPC construction site.
The role includes:-
- Site Tours - Driving Site tours organised by the EDF Visits Team based at Cannington for various groups and organisations, eg Somerset County Council, schools, universities, Public Tours and various EDF / Tier One teams & departments.
- VIP Visits - Transporting VIP’s including UK and foreign ministers, members of the press as well as senior EDF and other company officials. This will include transport to and from various locations including hotels, railway stations, airports and site tours.
- Community transport – NNB regularly provide approval for SPS to provide transport for EDF and Tier One contractor Teams, local organisations, schools and community groups for events and day trips. In the past this has included trips to the beach, zoos and theme parks as well as to the Brecon Beacons and Dartmoor for charitable fund raising events, which is extremely rewarding.
- HPC Transportation – at times when no events or visits are scheduled, your duties will include transporting the workforce to and from the HPC construction site.
A smart appearance at all times is essential and an Event Driver uniform will be provided. Being the ‘face of the project’ and of SPS, a calm, professional manner is needed along with the ability to deliver an exceptionally high standard of customer service. Flexibility, strong attention to detail and a clear communication style are all essential in this role.

Driving Hours and Tacho Training
The role requires that you maintain your driving hours with EU regulations. A tacho card is needed for the role (this can be arranged & paid for by the company).
