ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Outreach and Safeguarding Locality Lead in Wiltshire, you'll be at the heart of enhancing community support through dynamic outreach and vigilant safeguarding practices. Your leadership will guide the Family Hub Practitioner team, ensuring targeted support for vulnerable and complex families. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you’ll oversee safeguarding training, compliance, and activities, promoting a culture of safety and care. You’ll develop and implement strategies to engage with families, children, and young people, ensuring they receive the necessary support. Your role includes raising awareness about parental conflict, managing data collection for service evaluation, and ensuring the smooth transition of families between services. You'll also oversee the quality of outreach programmes and maintain detailed records. Join us in driving positive change, empowering individuals, and fostering a supportive, resilient community in Wiltshire. Please note, this is a temporary appointment to cover for the absence of a permanent colleague on maternity leave.

ABOUT YOU

You are an adaptable and approachable leader with substantial experience in social work, community development, or related fields, holding a Level 3 qualification, with a Level 4 being desirable. Your commitment to safeguarding and outreach is evident through your confident and proactive approach to managing teams and overseeing initiatives. As a continuous learner, you stay updated with the latest practices and policies, applying them with a critical and analytical mindset. Your role as a leader is marked by your ability to remain resilient and self-motivated, effectively guiding and supporting your team. You are a decisive problem-solver who excels in crisis management and data-driven decision-making. With strong organisational skills and a quality-driven focus, you ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with safeguarding standards. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build strong relationships with local authorities and external partners. As a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, you inspire and motivate others to achieve positive outcomes for the community.
