It’s an incredibly exciting time at Stagecoach South West - we’re getting stuck into delivering some exciting growth plans which will continue to develop our business…and that’s where you come in! We’re on the hunt for a Commercial Director to join us as part of our senior management team to help us bring in some new thinking, drive our business forward by putting the customer at the heart of all that we do.
And don’t be fooled by the job title - our Commercial Director isn’t a narrow role. You’ll be getting stuck into strategy, marketing, pricing, sales, analytics, financials…but more about that in moment! We think there’ll be three big reasons why you’ll want to bring your expertise to us. Firstly the job, then our business, and finally the location where you’ll be working!
We suspect that the most important one of the three to you is the role itself - what you’ll be doing and importantly what you’ll get out of it.
You’ll be taking a lead role in ensuring we deliver our products and services in a way which is truly focussed on the the needs of the customer, so you’ll definitely get some major responsibility from day one! That means you’ll have the autonomy to design, develop and implement an overall customer service strategy for our business - gaining an understanding of our customers, and then connecting those needs with the values of our business.
Within this you’ll have the opportunity to:
• Create sales and marketing plans to deliver sustainable and profitable growth
• Analyse research to devise a pricing strategy which can attract increased customer numbers
• Draw up business cases for investment in people and resources which will support your strategies
• Develop the sales channel strategy to ensure we benefit from an optimal mix of offline and online channels
• Overall responsibility in leading and developing our customer services, marketing and business development.
