Job Specification:

Our Residential Conveyancing Department has a requirement for a Legal Assistant to join its busy office in Sheffield City Centre. Candidates must have excellent communication and IT skills with the ability to prepare completion statements and accounts.  Daily responsibilities will include answering calls from clients and dealing with their enquiries both face to face and over the telephone and also dealing with exchanges and completions.

Experience:

Previous assistant or paralegal experience is essential for this role ideally gained within a busy property environment.  Your experience must be in Residential Property law.  It is further essential that you have the ability to work accurately and timely in order to progress matters efficiently and contemporaneously, assist and undertake various delegated tasks from your fee earners, and work predominantly and efficiently within a document management system.

 Desirable Key Skills and Experiences:

  • Experience of working in a solicitor’s practice in a similar administration role.
  • Fast and accurate typing with a minimum speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to input information quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Aim Evolution accounting package.
  • Knowledge of OMS document management.
