Analyst, Digital Advertising Inventory

The Telegraph's digital advertising department are recruiting for a new Analyst to focus on the effective management of online inventory, working as part of the Monetisation and Operational Analytics team and contributing to the growth of digital advertising revenue.

Key responsibilities

  • Extract, collect, validate and analyse data for all our digital demand & supply channels.
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility to the business.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize processes.
  • Partner with the Data Architecture team to streamline feeds within the data lake.
  • Establish performance KPIs and benchmark against various channels.
  • Establish a framework for the optimal inventory allocation across all demand channels.
  • Work with Product and Sales on inventory changes and subsequent revenue impact.
  • Partner closely with Pricing team members to ensure supply and demand trends are met, as well as Audience, Product and Finance for regular inventory forecast.

 

Required skills and experience

  • Experience working with large and complex data sets in an analyst/consultant role in the online advertising space.
  • Advanced use of MS Excel with very strong attention to detail
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL/Python) and BI tools (e.g. Tableau/Business Objects) would be considered a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills are also key.
