Senior Partnerships Executive, Hotels (Telegraph Travel)

A fantastic new role has come up in the Commerce team within Telegraph Travel as a Senior Partnerships Executive, required to source offers from Hotels for Telegraph Exclusives and strategically partner with a mixture of small and and very large large partners, with a portfolio valued at circa £1 million.

You will be required to contact new and existing hotel partners directly to negotiate exclusive offers to present in print and online, ensuring there are sufficient quality offers to achieve Sales goals.

You should have an analytical approach with experience of prospecting and pitching for new business, alongside strong relationship/partnership management and optimisation experience. A hotels/travel background is ideal, but not essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact Hotels Direct, PR Agencies and Third Party Hotel Booking Platforms to source offers
  • Identify and acquire new hotel partners, along with potential product and partnership expansion
  • Build relationships with partners to maximise revenue opportunities throughout the year
  • Plan offer sourcing by theme and geography to optimise offer range
  • Ensure offers are of the required quality. Best in market, good availability and competitive with peer hotels
  • Provide day to day professional, proactive and efficient service for our partners
  • Work closely with Trading Executives to place offers in-paper, online and within campaigns
  • Achieve set revenue targets on a quarterly basis
  • Propose new properties that the editorial team should potentially review
  • Represent Telegraph Travel at Industry Events

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a target driven and fast paced sales environment
  • Existing experience in a similar role – ideally within the hospitality/travel industry, but this is not essential
  • Strong understanding of the Telegraph Customer
  • Confident in working with people at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Good time management skills, with ability to plan and prioritise many tasks
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Passionate, particularly about sales, with a curiosity to learn
  • Self-motivated with an excellent work ethic
