Sales Executive (Creative Content Solutions)

The Telegraph are seeking a talented new Sales Executive to work as part of Spark, the organisation's creative branded solutions division, in a small regional team in Manchester.

You will be responsible for producing sales proposals to drive revenue growth alongside presentations/pitches to ensure Spark remain the number one choice for creative content solutions using full Telegraph propositions and toolkit.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about content and evangelical in communications with partners about our market leading propositions, and ideally will have some experience within a fast-moving advertising agency or a leading media owner. You should also have a prominent creative streak, be highly motivated, and keen ambition to boot!

You will also need a driving license (but not necessarily a car) in order to apply, as there will be regional travel required with the role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to briefs from agencies, and ensuring that each one is of the quality expected from a market-leading creative solutions team.
  • Delivering 'Results that Matter', for agencies and clients alike, by using data-driven insight to fuel the best ideas.
  • Leading proactive ideas to maximise revenue and support Spark’s growth plan.
  • Creating media schedules which optimise budget and costs.
  • Producing compelling marketing presentations for the Spark Agency Team to take out to market, thus increasing an agency’s propensity to work with The Telegraph.
  • Create and build relationships with agencies, clients, stakeholders and Telegraph Spark team in London.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within a multi media advertising agency, or similarly the Creative Solutions department of a leading media owner.
  • Strong sales acumen, a solid understanding of what makes a good content solution, and the ability to write strong creative proposals.
  • Experience of developing innovative multi-media partnerships that deliver results that matter for clients / agencies.
  • The ability to bring their own ideas and thinking into the team with self-starter enthusiasm.
  • The capability to produce outstanding presentations within PowerPoint / Keynote / Slides.
  • Strong organisation skills to manage a variety of deadlines and business tasks in any given time period.
  • Be sociable with a willingness to attend agency and client events to network and build relationships.
