Sales Executive (Events)

The Telegraph's growing Consumer Events team are seeking a highly motivated Event Sales Executive with some demonstrable success in sales (exhibition or multimedia advantageous) both over the phone and face-to-face.

You will be tenacious with a self-starting attitude and a collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn. You should also have strong attention to details and first class communication skills  -  a passion for events is a real bonus as well!

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote event sales across flagship consumer shows
  • Work closely as part of the sales team, managing and building upon the existing client base together with development of industry knowledge
  • Bringing on new business and acting as a representative for the portfolio and event
  • Exceeding team and individual sales targets
  • Accurately forecast and track key sales metrics
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for and all matters specific to your key accounts
  • Attending competitor events as required with a view to generating revenue

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven record of exceeding sales targets and revenue
  • Experience should include generating new business, and ensuring repeat business from key accounts
  • Exceptional face to face and telesales skills, as well as a strong communicator
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills
