Role Overview

The Telegraph is looking for a Targeting Engineer to help deliver optimised, data-driven personalised experiences for our digital products, and manage stakeholder relationships throughout the process.

You’ll share responsibility for shaping and delivering revenue-producing projects that make a real difference to our business. You’ll help to manage the build and execution of targeting marketing and content delivered via Adobe Target. You will need to be well versed in agile methodologies and working in a multidisciplinary team. Working knowledge of frontend development will be a distinct advantage but is not essential. Above all, you’ll need to have a strong desire to help deliver a product that improves the business.

It is a hands on role so the candidate is expected to be very technical but should also have the confidence to deal with a wide range of stakeholders and will need to work closely with the data science team, business stakeholders, developers and operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build front-end javascript experience to develop marketing and other personalisation experiences.
  • Design, test and implement experiences using Adobe Target.
  • Config and apply analytics to monitor performance using Adobe Analytics.
  • Be a good team player with good communication skills and be able to develop and maintain close links with operational teams who support technology domains, products and projects
  • Develop custom services and integrations using a range of technologies, including Adobe Audience Manager, AEM, Adobe Analytics.
  • Collaborate in the creation, development and maintenance of formal descriptions of applied models and data structures, including: data definitions, dictionaries, models, flow diagrams and so on.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities for experience designs
  • The creation of logical and physical data models for projects and collaborate in forming data administration and governance frameworks.
  • Assist the team in ensuring all data requirements are correctly specified including the design of data models, flows, dictionaries, systems and the means to get to the data.
  • Assist with design and configuration documentation
  • Ongoing research into the evolving data landscape and data technologies that may be relevant to the Telegraph’s business model

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • JavaScript, front end development
  • Expert in Javascript Frameworks(jquery) & unobtrusive Javascript techniques.
  • Notable experience in data or software development
  • Experience of Adobe Marketing cloud (AA, AAM, AA, Campaign)
  • Degree in data systems or similar degrees.
  • Expert in web standards and CSS-driven layouts and a master of the DOM
  • Experience of developing within the Adobe Test & Target suite.

  • In-depth hands-on experience with any Adobe Marketing Cloud product
