Assistant Shop Manager

Put simply, this role is about turning everything we sell into vital funds for years to come. And to achieve that, you’ll take responsibility for all aspects of the business, from sales and budgeting, merchandising and promotions, to the recruitment and training of staff and volunteers. It’s about making sure everything is geared up to generate as much cash as possible, and the day-to-day operations run smoothly. You’ll run the business and we’ll expect you to turn it into a roaring success.

What we’re looking for

To be great in this job you must be able to deliver excellent customer service and chances are you’ll already be working as a retail assistant manager. We’ll expect you to have a commercial outlook and experience of cash handling, together with excellent communication skills and a real ability to engage with people.

We’d really like your CV to show that you have:

  • Experience of working within retail outlets in the Charity or Commercial Sector
  • Experience of recruiting, managing and motivating paid staff and volunteers
  • Experience of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Experience of providing excellent customer service
