It’s hard to imagine that the first Entertainer store only opened back in 1981. Today The Entertainer is the U.K.’s Largest Independent Toy Retailer. We have over 170 UK stores stretched across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands and we are still growing! We have several flagship regional stores including the Bullring, Birmingham and our two Westfield London stores. As a business, we also own the Early Learning Centre and Totally Toys brands, Outside of the UK we also manage a chain of toy stores in both Spain and Malta plus numerous Entertainer and Early Learning Centre franchise partnerships across the globe. We also own a brand toy supplier Addo Play – which supplies our stores and other retailers across the globe.
The Group Head Office is based in Buckinghamshire.
Toy retailing is demanding and fast-paced with a real focus on delivering brilliant service to our big and our little customers. To be the Store Manager, you will be hands-on and enjoy operating in volume driven highly seasonal trading environments. You will also need to be able to make smart commercial decisions and help organise, develop and motivate your team to deliver a top-performing store.
We trade Monday to Saturday with no Sunday opening, so that day is for you and your family.
You will need to work 5 days out of 6 including Saturdays, and you need to be flexible to work extra hours especially at Christmas during peak trade.

Your duties and key responsibilities as our Store Manager include:
- To build and develop the team to offer exceptional levels of customer service supported by brilliant product knowledge
- Implementing and executing regular promotional changes and delivering excellent merchandising standards in a non-planogrammed environment on the shop floor
- Developing & coaching your team to deliver fantastic sales
- Building external relationships to market your store and grow sales

Ideally, you will be currently working as a Branch Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Sales Manager, Department Manager for a customer-focused retailer looking for a new career challenge
