It’s hard to imagine that the first Entertainer store only opened back in 1981. Today The Entertainer is the U.K.’s Largest Independent Toy Retailer. We have over 170 UK stores stretched across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands and we are still growing! We have several flagship regional stores including the Bullring, Birmingham and our two Westfield London stores. As a business, we also own the Early Learning Centre and Totally Toys brands, Outside of the UK we also manage a chain of toy stores in both Spain and Malta plus numerous Entertainer and Early Learning Centre franchise partnerships across the globe. We also own a brand toy supplier Addo Play – which supplies our stores and other retailers across the globe.
The Group Head Office is based in Buckinghamshire.
We trade Monday to Saturday with no Sunday opening, so that day is for you and your family.
You will need to work 5 days out of 6 including Saturdays, and you need to be flexible to work extra hours especially at Christmas during peak trade.

While supporting your Store Manager, your duties and key responsibilities as our Assistant Manager include;
- Working with your team to offer exceptional levels of customer service supported by brilliant product knowledge
- Implementing and executing regular promotional changes and delivering excellent merchandising standards on the shop floor
- Developing & coaching your team to achieve fantastic sales
- Building external relationships to market your store and grow sales

Ideally, you will be currently working as a Branch Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Sales Manager, Department Manager for a customer focused retailer looking for a new career challenge.
